Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Vans with a Full Private Bathroom

Finding a luxury Sprinter van with a real, fully private bathroom is harder than it sounds. Most "conversion vans" do not include a bathroom at all. Most that do include a wet bath configuration — toilet and shower in the same small compartment — that functions adequately but feels like an afterthought. Midwest Automotive Designs builds the exception. Both the Luxe Cruiser and Passage include a full rear wet bath built to residential quality standards, with a porcelain toilet, solid surface sink, brushed nickel hardware, and sealed shower walls that clean easily and hold up over time.

These are not cargo van conversions with a porta-potty. They are RVIA-certified Class B motorhomes whose bathroom design was engineered from the start as a primary feature of the vehicle — not an add-on. The dual-entry design, the tank heating pads for cold weather use, the power bath vent, and the Sani-Flush automatic tank management system all exist because Midwest treats the wet bath as seriously as the kitchen or the seating.

What's Inside the Midwest Automotive Designs Wet Bath

Porcelain Toilet

Full porcelain residential-quality toilet, not a marine-style cassette toilet. Flushes and operates exactly like a home toilet. Connects to the onboard black water holding tank with the Sani-Flush automatic management system.

Solid Surface Sink

Solid surface countertop with brushed nickel faucet and handheld spray head. Running water from the onboard 20-gallon fresh water tank. Hot water available on demand.

Full Shower

Sealed wet bath shower with waterproofed walls and floor for easy cleaning. The handheld spray head doubles as the shower head. Dual-entry solid doors with portal windows provide complete privacy.

Power Bath Vent

Roof-mounted power exhaust vent removes moisture and odor from the wet bath efficiently after every use. Prevents condensation buildup on interior surfaces.

Year-Round Tank Heating

Heating pads on both fresh water and grey water holding tanks allow the wet bath system to operate in freezing temperatures. Four-season RV capability without winterization requirements.

Sani-Flush Auto System

Automatic black and grey tank management system handles tank maintenance without manual intervention. Simplifies long-term van life and extended travel without hookups.

The Two Sprinter Models with Full Bathrooms

One thing to understand about wet bath vs dry bath

A wet bath places the toilet and shower in the same sealed room — when you shower, the entire compartment gets wet, including the toilet. This is the standard configuration in Class B RVs because it maximizes space efficiency. A dry bath separates the toilet and shower into distinct rooms, which requires significantly more length. Both the Luxe Cruiser and Passage use a wet bath layout, which is why they achieve full bathroom capability in a 19- to 24-foot vehicle.

Common Questions

Sprinter Van with Bathroom FAQ

Which Midwest Automotive Designs vans have a bathroom?
The Luxe Cruiser and Passage both include a bathroom. The Passage has the full private wet bath as standard on all floor plans. Both include a porcelain toilet, solid surface sink with running water amd power bath vent.
What is a wet bath in a Sprinter van?
A wet bath combines the toilet and shower into a single sealed compartment. When you shower, the entire room gets wet — the walls, floor, and toilet are all waterproofed and sealed for easy cleanup. It is the standard bathroom configuration in Class B motorhomes because it achieves full bathroom functionality in a compact footprint.
Can the Sprinter van bathroom be used in winter?
Yes. Both the Luxe Cruiser and Passage include tank heating pads on the fresh water, grey water, and black water tanks. This prevents freezing in cold weather and allows four-season use without winterization.
Do you need a campground hookup to use the bathroom?
No. The onboard fresh water tank and holding tanks allow completely off-grid bathroom use. With the Freedom Package lithium system, the water pump and all bathroom systems run off onboard battery power indefinitely without any external hookup.
