  30 Day Welcome Inspection

  The purpose of the first visit is to introduce you to Mercedes-Benz of Hoffman Estates Service Department and explain any system operation questions you may have about your vehicle. It also allows a MBHE Technician to inspect the vehicle, check fluid levels, tire pressures and provide a complimentary car wash. Your Service Advisor will explain and schedule your next service visit.

• Tire Inspection/Rotation Service (On New Vehicles this service is complimentary if performed before vehicle reaches 5,000 miles)
  

  Tire Inspection - $24.95

  The purpose of this service is to inspect your tires and rotate them, if not staggered. Proper tire care, balancing and wheel alignment will maximize the useful life of your tires. This is accomplished by performing a routine tire maintenance every 5,000 miles.

  • Rotate tires (if applicable)	• Check and adjust tire pressure

• Service A (Performed at 10,000-12,000 mile intervals or 1 year)
  

  Service A - $169.95 (Diesel vehicles - Refill AdBlue fluid - $272.95)

  These service intervals take into account the harsh environment vehicles are subjected to while operating under Chicago area conditions. Mercedes-Benz and MBHE classify the Chicago area and climate as "Severe Operating Conditions." Because of the classification, vehicles may require service sooner than the Service Reminder System may indicate. MBHE has designed these service intervals and inspections to reflect the actual driving conditions that exist in the Chicago area.

  • Change oil and filter	• Check and adjust tire pressure
  • Measure tire tread depth	• Check under hood fluid levels
  • Measure brake pad thickness	• Check brake rotor condition
  • Check all under hood fluids for level and condition	• Inspect operation of all lights
  • Complete and provide a Vehicle Inspection Report	• Reset maintenance indicator system

  We recommend performing a MBHE 10,000 Service "A" every 10,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first (10,000, 30,000, 50,000, 70,000, 90,000, 110,000 miles, etc.).

• Service B (Performed at 20,000-24,000 mile intervals)
  

  Service B - $349.95
  SUV, S-Class, SL, SLK models - $399.95
  Diesel vehicles – $699.95 (Replace fuel filter, Drain and fill AdBlue fluid)
  

  The recommended MBHE 20,000 Service "B" alternates every 10,000 miles for "A" Service to every 20,000 miles for "B" Service. The "B" Service should be performed every 20,000 miles or once every 2 years, whichever comes first (20,000, 40,000, 60,000, 80,000 miles, etc.).

  Includes all items listed for Service A, in addition to the following:

  Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection Report

  The purpose of this inspection is to provide you with a comprehensive and thorough report of your vehicle. Our technician's extensive training by Mercedes-Benz and their years of experience enable them to advise you of how and when repairs should be performed. They will also record wear item measurements like brake pad thickness and tire tread depth. This inspection allows you monitor the condition of your vehicle. At your request, your MBHE Service Advisor will provide you with a complete review and explanation of the Inspection Report.

  

• Air Filter Service
  

  Air Filter Service - $99.95 (Diesel Vehicles $165.95 Includes monitor reset)

  Clean engine air filters increase fuel economy and engine performance by protecting the engine and the fuel injection system from damage caused by dust, sand and dirt. High traffic and road construction in and around the Chicago area can cause the filters to lose their effectiveness sooner.

• Wheel/Tire Balance Service
  

  Wheel/Tire Balance Service - $79.95

  Proper tire and wheel balancing helps maximize the useful life of your tires. We accomplish this by using state of the art Road Force Balancing equipment. We also inspect the condition of the wheels for "Out of Round" and warped issues.

  • Inspect tires and wheels for damage	• Measure radial and lateral run-out

• Computerized Four Wheel Alignment
  

  Computerized Four Wheel Alignment - $149.95

  Proper alignment not only preserves tire life, but it improves: vehicle steering response, reduces stress on steering and suspension components, maintains correct ride height, maximizes fuel mileage, and allows all the active safety systems of your vehicle to operate as intended. Our technicians have been educated and certified by Mercedes-Benz to perform the correct process required, and to operate the equipment that is vital to aligning your Mercedes-Benz.

  • Inspect for unusual tire wear	• Inspect steering and suspension for worn or bent components
  • Perform ride height measurement	• Measure and adjust suspension components as required

• Brake Fluid Service (Recommended every 2 years)
  

  Brake Fluid Service - $99.95

  An important part of preventative maintenance is replacement of brake fluid and flushing the system. Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the atmosphere due to heating and cooling of the brake fluid. Moisture in brake fluid causes internal corrosion of the brake system components.

  To prevent damage of very costly electrical hydraulic brake parts, the brake fluid must be replaced every 2 years or when contamination of the fluid is found.

  • Flush brake fluid from system	• Refill system

• Engine Coolant Service (Recommended every 3 years – Lifetime coolant every 15 years)
  

  Engine Coolant Service - $119.95 (Lifetime Coolant - $149.95)

  This service replaces the worn anti-freeze with new anti-freeze. Anti-corrosion protection, in anti-freeze, will break down due to extreme climate changes and heating and cooling of the engine.

  Proper service of the engine cooling system also prevents premature wear to internal engine componets.

  • Inspect cooling system leaks	• Drain coolant and flush system
  • Refill with new coolant	• Inspect for proper level and correct temperature protection

  

• Transmission Fluid/Filter Service (Recommended every 40,000 miles)
  

  Transmission Fluid/Filter Service - $299.95

  This service replaces the worn automatic transmission fluid with new fluid, filter and gasket. Automatic transmission fluid is subjected to very high operating temperature, friction load and contamination from normal amounts of clutch material wear. New fluid and filter are necessary to maintain proper shifting, as well as prolonging transmission life expectancy. The constant upshifting and downshifting in traffic, paired with extreme climate changes, causes the fluid to break down sooner than in other driving conditions.

• Driveline Fluid Service
  

  Driveline Fluid Service - Starting from $69.95

  This service replaces the worn front and rear differential and transfer case fluid for vehicles with 4matic all wheel drive systems.

  This fluid is subjected to tremendous thermal load, which causes the fluid to break down and wear out. The normal wear of the fluid is accelerated by driving in high traffic conditions. For rear wheel drive vehicles, only the rear differential fluid maintenance is required.

  • Inspect for leaks	• Drain and remove fluid

• Spark Plug Replacement (Recommended every 60,000 miles)
  

  Spark Plug Replacement - Starting from $169.95

  This service replaces the worn spark plugs with new spark plugs. Spark plugs operate under intense heat and combustion pressure. Worn spark plugs cause poor engine performance and poor fuel economy. Worn spark plugs can also trigger the "Check Engine" light to come on due to misfiring. New spark plugs help avoid unwanted performance issues.

  • Remove engine covers	• Inspect spark plug wires
  • Remove ignition coils/modules	• Remove spark plugs and inspect for unusual wear
