The Mercedes-Benz SLC AMG sport coupe has been kept "under wraps" for quite a while now, and its actual existence and name weren't announced until recently. However, we now know that the SLC-Class will join the AMG lineup, which currently includes the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG coupe- one of the most luxurious grand touring cars in the world. The SLS AMG carries two passengers in luxurious comfort and has the ability to travel at very fast speeds. It has an MSRP starting price at $190,000, which matches its incredible capabilities

Did you know that (depending on where you live) most new Mercedes-Benz vehicles come equipped with 4MATIC all-wheel drive? While the luxury brand doesn't always highlight this feature like some other automakers and manufacturers (think Subaru's or Audi's campaigns that revolve around this drivetrain), many Mercedes-Benz vehicles, not only its SUVs and crossover SUVs, are 4MATIC AWD-equipped.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class was first introduced only two years ago, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been a huge success in this short amount of time. The 500,000th E-Class sedan has now rolled off production lines at the Mercedes-Benz manufacturing plant in Sindelfingen, Germany.

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is already an amazing vehicle, but it's about to get even better. Mercedes-Benz showed off the 2013 SL-Class model earlier this month at the North American International Auto Show, held in Detroit , MI, and it seems to have made one of its most drastic changes since its introduction in 1952.

We here at  the Mercedes-Benz in Hoffman Estates knew the Mercedes-Benz brand was doing well in the troublesome financial market, but we were pleasantly surprised to hear that the company has plans to increase its output by 13 percent in 2012. That's right, readers, while other brands continue to struggle, the tried-and-true, reliable Mercedes-Benz franchise sits on top.

Here at Mercedes-Benz Hoffman, we like to stay ahead of the curve, but even we were surprised to learn about the AMG performance division of Mercedes-Benz replacing its powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine with the new, more efficient, twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine. Although we know the new engine is great, we were still a little upset about the death of the 6.2 (although it's still being used in the C63 AMG). When we saw the new 2012 ML63 AMG debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, however, we were pleasantly surprised. With 518 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque standard and 550 horsepower and 560 lb-ft torque with the optional AMG Performance Package, the ML63 stole the show.

In our last blog, we told you about one of the acts of kindness the Mercedes-Benz company was bestowing upon others in honor of its 125^th year, and now the company is at it again. Mercedes-Benz recently selected five charitable organizations across the country as "Community Stars." That's right, rather than honor the company's many successes, Mercedes-Benz decided to give to local, grass-root community groups. These organizations, dedicated to such pursuits as education, the arts, the environment, and human service, were awarded $25,000 each by the Tri-Pointed Star-a grand total of $125,000.

Over two hundred Mercedes-Benz Employees recently hit the beaches of the Jersey Shore to show their community-centered attitude and help spruce the place up a bit. Lisa Rosenfeld, General Manager of HR for Mercedes-Benz USA explained, "Mercedes-Benz has a rich history of environmental sensitivity and innovation, and we're excited about this very special partnership and opportunity - right in our backyard here in New Jersey."
