Mercedes-Benz is Giving Back - 125 Times Over

Over two hundred Mercedes-Benz Employees recently hit the beaches of the Jersey Shore to show their community-centered attitude and help spruce the place up a bit. Lisa Rosenfeld, General Manager of HR for Mercedes-Benz USA explained, "Mercedes-Benz has a rich history of environmental sensitivity and innovation, and we're excited about this very special partnership and opportunity - right in our backyard here in New Jersey."
The automaker's support of Clean Ocean Action - a group committed to restoring and preserving the waters along the New Jersey and New York coastlines - expressed the company's commitment to their community, and the environment. In addition to Mercedes-Benz's generous $11,000 donation to the cause, volunteers spent two days in Sandy Hook Gateway National Park picking up and logging items found in to identify, and hopefully prevent major sources of pollution. In total, the team logged over 12,700 pieces of debris!
We don't know about you, but Mercedes-Benz of Hoffman Estates, located at 1000 West Golf Road in Hoffman Estates, IL 60194 is awed, and inspired, by Mercedes-Benz's giving spirit. What makes the act even more impressive is the fact it is not a standalone event. In honor of this year's 125th anniversary of the invention of the automobile, Mercedes-Benz has vowed to perform 125 acts of community service, by December 31th. Teaming up with Clean Ocean Action wasn't their first, nor will it be there last good deed.
To learn more about Mercedes-Benz, and their philanthropic efforts, stay tuned.
